Alina Şleahtiţkaia (born 18 July 1990), known by his stage name Kaiia (stylized KAiiA ) is a Romanian singer. Born in Ukraine, it has spent much of her childhood in Moldova, participating in various events and competitions in the country. Kaiia became known in 2012, after their album single " Crazy love ", in collaboration with the production team Manilla Maniacs.
Childhood and personal life[]
Alina Şleahtiţkaia was born in Ukraine, but her family moved to Moldova a few years after her birth. Her father is Ukrainian, while her mother is Moldovan citizen with Romanian origins. Kaiia's passion for music began at the age of five years, while holding "music contests" in the backyard of the house. The singer described her childhood as a "happy and funny incident". Kaiia graduated High School "Mihai Eminescu", followed by Industrial-Pedagogical College Cahul , music department. During these years of study, participated in various concerts held in Cahul also performed at certain parties Chisinau local songs written by herself. In 2008 and 2009 she participated at the "Faces of Friends" Cahul, also in 2009, was one of the first reality show contestants from Moldova, Star Factory . Currently, Kaiia studying at University 'Andrei Saguna " , Faculty of Communication Sciences and Political Science, Department of Journalism Constanta , Romania. Kaiia said she is fan of singers Beyoncé Knowles , Rita Time and Jessie J , preferring it to Greek pianist Yanni for moments of relaxation.

In April of 2012, Kaiia released her first disc single, " Crazy love" in collaboration with Manilla Maniacs , manufacturers of song " Mr. Saxobeat " of Alexandra Stan , which has been successful worldwide. Kaiia's single was cataloged as a song dance , but different from that of Stan's. Registered production house Maan Studio , "Crazy love" also benefited from a video directed by Iulian Moga . The song was a mediocre success, peaking position in Romanian Top 100 is the number 45.

Own Eurovision Song Contest[]
She was selected to represent Romania in the 12th edition, togheter with Manilla Maniacs they will sing "Crazy love".
In Andorra la Vella they manage to qualify for the Grand Final, where they place 4th, receiving 135 points, at the end of the voting.
Kaiia returned in the contest for Moldova, contest held in San Marino. Her song, "Uhodi", manage to place 6th , receiving 173 points.
