As the edition was a special edition where each country had to send a singer from all over the world except Europe. TVP had several names as possible entrants and some of them were; Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, 2NE1, Havana Brown and Selena Gomez. After some discussions with the artists, Lady Gaga was internally selected to represent the country with her latest single "Applause".
A Song for Demi[]
A few weeks later, Lady Gaga withdrew herself from the contest citing her promotional tour and lack of time for rehearsals as the reason. TVP immediately called again the other artists and Demi Lovato was selected to select the country. However, it was decided that the song will be selected through a national selection including Demi's songs.

A Song for Ewa[]
After it was revealed that the twenty-fifth edition would no longer be a special edition as the special editions will be parallel, TVP will internally select an entry for the edition.
Ewa Farna was internally selected to represent the country. The song was selected through a national selection.
Poland performed tenth in the second semi-final. Even though the song was selected through a national selection, Znak didn't manage to qualify. It got the sixteenth place with thirty-eight points with the highest points being from Malta (10).
