Romania will participate in the Own Eurovision Song Contest 49. The Romanian entry will be selected through an internal selection.
Ligia Hojda will represent Romania with their song "Fire Gun".
Format[]
Romania decided on September 14, 2017 that Ligia Hojda will represent the country in the 49th edition.
At Own Eurovision Song Contest[]
Romania will participate in one of the two semi-finals.
On 29 January 2018, Romania was draw to perform in the first half of the second semifinal.
On 3 February 2018, Romania was draw to perform in spot number 10 in the second semifinal.
On 17 February 2018, Romania qualified to the Grand Final.
Romania was draw to perform in spot number 05 in the grand final.
On 4 March 2018, Romania received a total amount of 39 points and placed 25th out of 26 countries that were in the Grand Final.
After the final it was revealed that Romania placed 7th in the second semifinal, receiving an amount of 68 points.
