Sweden participated in the Own Eurovision Song Contest 22 and selected their entry through an internal selection. Zara Larsson was selected to represent Sweden in Constanța, Romania after being placed second in the fourth edition of Aland Sangfestivalen.

Sweden ended in the top 10 at the end of the voting, receiving a total of 145 points and placed sixth out of thirty countries.

After losing the fourth edition of Aland Sangfestivalen, by just five points to Avicii and the song "Wake Me Up", Sweden offered the Swedish singer, Zara Larsson, to represent them instead, with the same song she entered in the Aland Sangfestivalen, "Uncover".

At Own Eurovision Song Contest[]

Sweden competed in the second semi-final for a place in the final. Sweden performed as the ninth entry out of nineteen entries.

Sweden managed to qualify for the Grand Final, and was selected to perform as the third entry in the final. Sweden ended up in sixth place scoring at the end of voting, 145 points. After the final it was announced that Sweden placed second in the semi-final, receiving 103 points.

Jasmine Kara, a Swedish singer of Iranian origin, got the privilege to present the Swedish votes in the Grand Final of Own Eurovision Song Contest 22.
The calling city was chosen to be Stockholm, even though Jasmine's home town is Örebro.
