United Kingdom will participate in the Own Eurovision Song Contest 50 in Russia. Their entry will be selected through the national selection The Brit Method, organised by the British broadcaster British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

Before Own Eurovision Song Contest

On 16 February 2018, BBC confirmed the British participation for the fiftyth edition of the Own Eurovision Song Contest. It was also announced that The Brit Method, would be used to select the British entry, with a small twist. Instead of, as usual, six acts to compete BBC revealed that SOPHIE would represent the country and seven songs would be fighting to represent the country.
